SUMMARY
Tristan and Jared have got it made. When they aren’t raking in the cash together at Market Garden, they’re burning up their own sheets and getting closer by the day. But something isn’t right. Tristan’s on edge, and Jared doesn’t understand why.

Before they can hash things out, their services are requested by none other than Rolex. And Rolex doesn’t just want to be a bystander this time. He wants Jared while Tristan watches, and he’s more than willing to pay for it.

But Tristan’s reached a breaking point, and even that huge wad of cash might not be enough to keep tonight’s arrangement from crashing and burning.

FIRST LINE
"Tristan's gaze was fixed on the door, but Jared suspected he was less interested in the traffic coming into Market Garden's lounge area and more focused on not looking at Jared."

MY THOUGHTS
Payoff finishes up the series arc that involves rent boys Jared and Tristan.  The earlier novellas featuring these guys showed them growing confidence in their double-act for clients and also becoming more comfortable with each other.  This unique (and sexy) couple get a conclusion to their romance and it was definitely worth the wait.

Tristan and Jared have finally acknowledged that they want to have more than a professional relationship with each other.  Their favorite client (Rolex) shows up again, but he throws them for a loop when he requests Tristan watch him have his way with Jared.  I loved this little wrinkle in their relationship and how each of them reacted to it.

Each of the other stories focused on just one of the guy's views, but this one had both of their feelings being expressed.  Jared is a little hesitant though he is willing to do whatever in order to get paid.  Tristan, on the other hand, is feeling more uncomfortable as the situation moves on and ends up doing something he never thought he would before meeting Jared.  One thing that never fails in this series is the sexiness that never overshadows the character development which is shown again in Payoff.

Besides just the overall development of Tristan and Jared, I enjoyed getting to know more about Rolex.  He showed himself to be much more than just a voyeuristic client.  I really hope that Witt and Voinov give Rolex his own story sometime in the future.

Overall, I loved the ending that Tristan and Jared received.  They are such an unusual couple that just work well together and Witt/Voinov gave them the story they deserved.  I highly recommend the whole series for fans of sexy, but still charming romances between hot guys.

I received a free e-ARC of this book from Riptide Publishing via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
